Exposed children should be referred to COT clinic for initiation of CPT and further testing. Exposed children remain on CPT until confirmed negative at 24 months of age or older when confirming HIV negative 6 weeks after stopping breast-feeding. Continue CPT for life for all HIV positive patients.
